The DJI Inspire 3 is a professional-grade camera drone with a sleek and aerodynamic design aimed at minimizing air resistance. It boasts an increased maximum dive speed of 10 m/s (up from Inspire 2’s 9 m/s) and vertical ascend/descend speeds of 8 m/s (previously 6 m/s and 4 m/s respectively). The FPV camera, visual sensors, positioning antennas, and storage card slot are seamlessly integrated into the airframe, giving it a minimalist and modern look. In Follow mode, Inspire 3 will orient the aircraft and gimbal camera in the same direction as the subject, maintaining a locked position on the subject for circling shots without the need for manual adjustments.
In Free mode, the 360° gimbal pan of Inspire 3 allows the gimbal camera to remain locked on the subject while the solo pilot can use the FPV camera to check surroundings and adjust flight routes responsively for achieving complex camera movements with greater ease.
3D Dolly is a feature that simulates the movement of a crane, cablecam, or dolly on a film set, going beyond the limitations of these physical devices.
Once a flight route is planned, the cinematographer can manually control the aircraft to move along the route while adjusting parameters such as speed, gimbal angle, and more to achieve the desired shot.
